I don't journal often, but I thought this news merited a spot in my "journaling history."

I am happy to announce that after weeks and weeks of job-hunting, I finally got one! And it's not just some sales or restaurant job, like I was worried I'd have to take... nope... I actually landed a spot as a game tester at Activision for the rest of the summer!
I start next Monday, and I am SO excited to see what working in a game-studio environment is really like. I hope my time at Ringling will have left me a bit more prepared than I would have been otherwise...

The only other thing I was worried about before I got the job offer was transportation, which leads me to my other bit of good news: I got my very first car today!!
It's a junker - a cute little red '91 Civic, that we got for under 2k. It could use some new breaks, but it runs great and should serve me well for the next couple years.

That's really all the update I have for now.
As soon as I actually start at Activision, I probably won't be able to talk about the games I'm testing (contract of silence, and whatnot), but I'll try to update what I can, when I can.

Commissions are still open, as always, but I may end up closing the summer-sketch sale early due to these new developments.
